10:45 Meet outside St Bartholomew’s Church.
11:00 am Visit to Philips House, where Kilvert stayed the night before his friend Andrew Pope’s wedding (Vol 3, p77-81). Coffee will be served.
12:30 pm Lunch at Walwyn Arms.
2:00 pm Visit to St Bartholomew’s Church, where Kilvert acted as best man to Andrew Pope, followed by a visit to Homme House, where the surviving photo of the wedding was taken. Afternoon tea will be served.

The Kilvert Society seminar and a visit to a local place with Kilvert connections.
Evening: 7 for 7.30pm The Kilvert Society Annual Dinner
Saturday 15 - Sunday 16 May
Bredwardine Church will be celebrating Kilvert’s arrival as parish priest in 1877 with a weekend of events including talks, walks, films and open gardens. Kilvert Society members and enthusiasts are invited to join in.
Non-members are welcome to join us on excursions. Please contact kilvertsociety@gmail.com for details of meeting place and catering arrangements. Lunches and teas, if arranged, are paid for individually on the day.
